Sevilla eye loan move for Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk

Chelsea have spent the past three seasons stockpiling players, enduring mixed results with this scattergun approach.
The Blues have shelled north of £1.3 billion on new players like Cole Palmer, Andrey Santos, Devid Washington, Nicolas Jackson, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, and more.
Some are enjoying success at Stamford Bridge, while others have struggled with the step up, underdelivering and underperforming in West London.
One of the most prominent names on the flop list has to be Myhailo Mudryk. Signed for £88.5 million in January 2023, the Ukrainian forward has managed a measly five goals and four assists in 53 Premier League appearances for the Blues.
To compound matters, the Chelsea attacker tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance and has been suspended for a while, leaving the Blues handicapped.
There is no verdict yet on a second test, which will decide his fate. His future is in limbo. If he is allowed to return to action, Mudryk needs a new stomping ground to revive his career, and it appears he has interest from Spain.
It will be difficult for Chelsea to find any permanent takers for Mudryk, who earns £97k a week, after his atrocious spell in London, so a loan deal looks more likely.
Perhaps, like Antony, he can regain some form in Spain. Chelsea will hope he can bolster his transfer value, allowing the Blues to recoup some of the big money they shelled to sign him two years ago.
Chelsea need to be in the market for a new left-sided attacker this summer to bolster that flank.
The West Londoners should keep their eyes on Bradley Barcola, who is increasingly frustrated at Paris Saint-Germain. Nico Williams could also be on the move this summer.
Chelsea need someone who can deliver goals and assists in the final third while not being afraid to take on his man, and Barcola/Williams fits the bill.
