Spurs sign Swedish international defender Rybrink on short-term deal | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Swedish international defender Josefine Rybrink on a short-term deal.

WSL Full- Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this morning.

The 27-year-old centre-back will initially spend the remainder of the current season with Spurs. She joins the club following a spell with Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan side BK Häcken.

Rybrink has spent all of her senior career to date playing her football in her native Sweden. The player started out in the Elitettan with Kungsbacka DFF in 2015 before going on to join Kristianstads DFF two years’ later. Rybrink signed for latest club BK Häcken in November 2021.

The defender has a wealth of experience at the top level of the Swedish club game. She has 145 games under her belt in the OBOS Damallsvenskan. Rybrink has been a league runner-up on three occasions.

On the international stage, Rybrink has been capped by Sweden on eight occasions at senior level. She won the Algarve Cup with her country in 2022.

Rybrink is Tottenham Hotspur’s third signing of the summer transfer window. Head coach Robert Vilahamn has also added Olivia Holdt and Lize Kop to his squad so far this month.
