All focus is on Chelsea’s run in at the moment, but that won’t stop those behind the scenes working on deals they hope to conclude the moment the season is over.

Chelsea are heading to the USA to play the Club World Cup, and multiple reports have claimed that the Blues are pushing to secure as many of their top targets as possible before then. One huge factor in those deals are any release clauses a player may have, which shortens the negotiation period with their club significantly.

Our top striker target appears to be Liam Delap of Ipswich Town, who has a £30m clause in his contract now they’ve been relegated. Our sources have told us that Chelsea have made him a priority target and want to bring him in at the start of next month so he can play at the CWC.

But our source has also given us the full list of teams who have expressed an interest, and it’s a very long one. That should be no surprise, given his age, the release clause, and his quality.

“Juventus, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, West Ham and Everton” are named as the clubs vying for the youngster.

We can well believe all of them are keen, it seems the ball is really in his court now. Where does he think he will get the most minutes, be developed the best, and have the best chances of scoring goals and winning trophies?
