Thiago Scuro committed to Monaco amid AC Milan interest | OneFootball

Thiago Scuro’s work at AS Monaco has not gone unnoticed. Initially arriving as sporting director, replacing the outgoing Paul Mitchell, the Brazilian, who has previous experience within the Red Bull model, has since become CEO.

Last season, he led the Principality club back to the UEFA Champions League after a hiatus from the highest level of European football. Les Monégasques progressed from the League Phase of the competition this year before coming unstuck against Benfica in the play-off, narrowly crashing out.

This season, Monaco are once again in the fight for the European places. Scuro has logically been linked with posts elsewhere. He was linked with the soon-to-be vacant sporting director role at Arsenal. Despite being approached by the Premier League club, it is Andrea Berta who looks to take the reigns at the Emirates Stadium.

Scuro has also been the subject of an approach from AC Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano, however, the Brazilian CEO’s focus is completely on the job at hand at Monaco, where he wants to remain.
