MIAMI – The 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals continues with Tigres UANL and Portland Thorns FC facing off in the Semifinals at the Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico.

This encounter pits the clubs with most championships in their respective leagues. Tigres Femenil has a record six Liga MX Femenil trophies while Thorns FC have won three NWSL championships.

Tigres UANL will look to its home field advantage to continue adding to its history. Las Amazonas advanced as the top team in Group A with 3W-1D-0L record. Ana Dias was the leader on the offensive side, recording four goals and two assists in the group stage.

Tigres Femenil finished fifth in the Clausura 2025 regular season with a 9W-4D-4L record under Spanish manager Pedro Martínez. The team exited the playoffs in the quarterfinals to higher-seeded CF Monterrey after the teams played to a 2-2 aggregate.

Portland Thorns advanced as the best second place in Group B, with a record of 3W-0D-1L. The team includes stars like Jessie Fleming, Sam Coffey and Deyna Castellanos.

In their second season under Zambian-born Englishman Rob Gale, the club is off to a 4W-4D-2L start and arrives with a five-match unbeaten streak.
