According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are the latest side to express their interest in Ajax’s Brian Brobbey. On Friday morning it was reported that West Ham had opened talks with the Amsterdam club over a potential loan deal with an obligation to buy. However, their London rivals have made an official enquiry for the 22-year-old striker.
De Telegraaf reports that West Ham are making significant progress in their move for the Netherlands international. The Hammers have already offered Brian Brobbey a £100,000-a-week contract and want him to join as soon as possible due to their ongoing attacking injury crisis.
Brobbey has spent his entire career so far at Ajax, aside from a move to RB Leipzig in 2021. At the Johan Cruyff Arena, he’s featured 148 times in total, netting 52 goals and providing 26 assists. So far this season, the seven-time Oranje international has scored three goals in 29 appearances across all competitions.
