Arsenal will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Inter Milan at San Siro tonight.

The Gunners have been in a poor run of form in the Premier League, picking up only one point from the previous three outings.

However, they are still in a good position in the Champions League with seven points in three games. They will be eyeing their first win on the road.

Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Declan Rice is out with a knee issue, but Martin Odegaard returns to the squad after a lengthy injury absence.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been one of the club’s standout performers this campaign. He has kept three clean sheets on the bounce in Europe and will be aiming another shut-out at San Siro.

The defence could witness a solitary change from the 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James’ Park. Ben White should reclaim his place at right-back, with Jurrien Timber on the opposite flank.

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are assured starters in the centre of the defence.

Arteta could go with a three-man midfield consisting of Mikel Merino, Thomas Partey and Kai Havertz – the latter will obviously play as the more advanced of the trio.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli will likely be benched on the back of underwhelming displays last weekend. The duo won just four out of 21 duels.

Gabriel Jesus has been the regular up front in the Champions League. The Brazilian should lead the attack once more. Raheem Sterling will get the nod on the left wing.

Sterling had a promising display in the Carabao Cup fourth round but was surprisingly an unused substitute last weekend. Bukayo Saka is guaranteed to feature on the right wing.

The Gunners graduate was unlucky on Saturday against the Magpies. Rice squandered a clear-cut scoring chance to equalise with seconds left in stoppage time.

Odegaard has returned to team training after an ankle ligament injury, but he could get a 30-minute cameo at best, considering he has not played competitively since early September.
