Arsenal suffered a major blow in the Premier League title race after they secured a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Gunners are 15 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand, which means the Reds need another five wins and a draw to secure their second Premier League title in six years.
Declan Rice scored in the 74th minute to level the tie after Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead in the first half with a 25-yard free-kick.
While Rice was outstanding during the game, there were other notable performances, too. One of them was Jurrien Timber, who provided the assist for Rice’s goal.
The online web portal wrote: “There has been a real change in the way Jurrien Timber attacks the right flank of late and that continued into the game at Old Trafford. He would turn creator for Rice, driving into the box before cutting the ball back to the edge.”
The Dutch defender is a versatile player who can play as a centre-back and also as a full-back. He generally plays as a right-back but has played 10 times this season as a left-back.
The 23-year-old was superb against PSV Eindhoven and was equally brilliant against Man Utd on Sunday. He made two tackles and two clearances to cap off an excellent individual performance.
While Rice is adamant that Arsenal are still in the race for the Premier League title, the reality is something else. Unless Liverpool suffer an almighty collapse from here on (and it does not look like they are going to drop points at the moment), the Gunners might well turn their entire focus on Europe instead.
