Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, Samuele Ricci, and Morten Frendrup are the top targets for Inter Milan in midfield this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri will likely make at least one more midfield signing this summer.

Inter Milan have already sealed a deal to sign midfielder Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian international will arrive next month.

However, the Nerazzurri are far from finished in their efforts to reinforce in midfield.

First of all, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s future is in the balance. The Armenian is still a regular starter for Inter, but he’ll turn 37 next season and it may be time for him to be phased out.

Meanwhile, Inter will certainly listen to offers for Davide Frattesi this summer. And Kristjan Asllani could also leave, whether it is on loan or on a permanent transfer.

Therefore, it is almost certain that Inter will sign at least one more midfielder this summer.

Inter Milan’s summer business in midfield will depend on who leaves.

But the Nerazzurri’s targets will all be players suitable to play in central roles in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system.
