If we talk about one of the most consistent and persevering players in the history of Chivas Femenil, of course we have to refer to Gabriela Valenzuela. Her attacking soccer has given Guadalajara and the ChivaHermanos plenty of satisfaction, as the Sinaloa-born player has helped the team to win the Liga MX Femenil title in the Clausura 2022, as well as the 2021/2022 Champion of Champions.
But before reaching those two milestones and the more than 100 official matches she has played, it all began with the first of them, which happened on a day like today, but in 2021. That's right, Rojiblancos: today we commemorate the 4th anniversary of 'Gaby's' debut on the pink circuit.
It was Day 5 of the Clausura 2021 and the Rebaño Sagrado visited Querétaro at the Estadio Corregidora, aiming to resume the winning streak they had achieved at the start of the championship. At halftime, the Rojiblancas took a 3-1 lead, which allowed the players on the bench to play some minutes.
With 60 minutes left on the clock, Isabella Gutiérrez came off the bench with the 22nd jersey and Valenzuela took the 23rd. It didn't take long for our beloved 'Gaby' to show her skills with the ball, as she dribbled and dribbled on several opportunities to extend Guadalajara's lead.
After her first minutes in the Liga MX Femenil, and today wearing the 9 of the Rebaño Sagrado, the Chiverío attacker can boast a career of 135 games played, in addition to 26 goals to her account. But, above all, the Sinaloa native has earned the affection of the Rojiblanca Nation, which hopes that Valenzuela will defend the jersey of Mexico's most beloved and popular team for many more years to come.
