In quite a contrasting fashion to the first team, Barcelona Atletic has not really had a very good start to the 2024-25 season. The Blaugrana B team is currently standing 16th on the league table, having secured only 2 victories in 9 matches.

The last four of their league games have ended in draws, but despite the lack of results, some of the players in the Barcelona reserve team are showing a lot of promise lately.

As SPORT has noted, one such player is the German prodigy Noah Darvich, who added two assists to his name only in the last game against Barakaldo, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The Barcelona first-team head coach, Hansi Flick, watched that game directly from the stands.

The first of these assists came in the 29th minute, as Darvich gave a great first-touch pass to assist Cedric. The second assist came only ten minutes later and was a highly eye-catching one as the German showed exceptional speed and change of pace to provide a goal on a plate for Guille Fernandez.

This game against Barakaldo was the second consecutive start for the German pearl, who is playing more on the right wing, farther away from his natural position on the pitch. Furthermore, he is now also working on his defensive skills.

The Barcelona Atletic coach also singled out the youngster for praise after the game. Still, it is clear that Darvish has not been able to show all the talent that he possesses since his move to the Catalan club.

But with some of his recent performances, he is looking more likely to live up to his potential at Barcelona, after having signed for the Blaugranes for €2.5 million from Freiburg. Barcelona already have his future well secured with a €1 billion release clause.
