FC Barcelona would be going into their upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Inter Milan in the best of spirits, having just won the Copa del Rey after an intense fight with their arch-rivals, Real Madrid.
Jules Kounde was ultimately the hero of this game, as he scored the decisive goal for his side after the two teams remained tied at the end of normal time and the match went into extra time.
This strike showed another aspect of the Frenchman’s game, who has already proven himself to be an excellent defender, excelling with his power, stamina, and versatility.
There is no doubt that the French defender has proven to be a very good signing for the Blaugranes. However, this season, there has been one blemish on his otherwise impeccable record, i.e., his problems with discipline.
Kounde has been late to training or team talks several times already, and this is a issue too close to Hansi Flick’s heart to be considered ignorable. This is clear from the fact that the German has already dropped the defender three times from his starting lineups because of his lack of punctuality.

However, it seems that the Frenchman is now committed to get over this problem. In this regard, Mundo Deportivo reports that one of the steps he has taken is to ask the security personnel who follow the team on trips and training camps to notify him fifteen minutes ahead of the start of any pre-match tactical briefings by Hansi Flick.
Previously, the defender had tried to overcome this problem by himself. But now, it looks like he has realised that he would need outside help to get over this problem.
Hopefully, this new approach would pay the desired dividends, as Jules Kounde has already been late several times, and it is not known how Flick would react if he were to join a training session or team talk late once again.
