3 Barcelona youth talents to be called up for pre-season training | OneFootball

The coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona have decided to call a trio of youth team stars up for pre-season training with the club’s first-team.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the plans of Hansi Flick and his staff.

Barcelona’s senior squad, of course, recently went their separate ways for the summer, after bringing a successful campaign to a close last weekend against Athletic Club.

The Blaugrana’s players will remain on vacation for around seven weeks, before reconvening at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in mid-July.

And set to be part of the group in Hansi Flick’s squad, it is understood, are a trio of young talents.

As per Sport, all of Jofre Torrents, Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández and Juan Hernández will be called up to take part in senior pre-season training in Barcelona.

Torrents is an 18-year-old left-back, Dro a 17-year-old midfielder and Hernández a 17-year-old attacking midfielder or winger.

The latter pair actually trained with Barca’s star-studded first-team squad as recently as last week, evidently doing enough to convince Hansi Flick and co. of their respective talents.
