RMC Sport, L’Équipe and Foot Mercato are all reporting that AC Milan and Olympique de Marseille have reached an agreement over the loan of Ismaël Bennacer (27).
RMC Sport earlier reported that Marseille had sent a loan offer with an option to purchase the player for €10m. He has been a target for Les Phocéens since the summer, however, a deal never came to fruition. The Algeria international at the time was also sold on the move.
Bennacer has missed much of the season with a calf injury suffered right at the start of the campaign. As a result, he has made just eight appearances in all competitions, including just six in Serie A. Marseille then reignited their interest late in the window and once again, Bennacer was keen to make the move to the Vélodrome.
There is now an agreement between AC Milan and Marseille. However, L’Équipe understands that – before the completion of the move – AC Milan want to find a replacement. That may come in the form of AC Monza’s Warren Bondo (21).
