Ancelotti takes Real Madrid youngster to France despite ineligibility to play vs Brest | OneFootball

Lorenzo Aguado has become quite the talking point within the Real Madrid camp lately, thanks to his excellent work in the youth competitions and in training.

A right-back by trade, Aguado currently plies his trade for Castilla. But he has featured in three competitive matches for Los Blancos lately, albeit mostly as a late substitute.

More than his appearances for Real Madrid, it is Aguado’s work-ethic and committment which has caught the attention of many. This has even resulted in the defender becoming a constant member of the first-team training.

Aguado travels to France

Perhaps that is why Aguado has travelled with the Real Madrid contingent in their trip to France, ahead of the upcoming Champions League fixture against Brest.

This is according to Jorge Picon, which suggests Aguado has travelled with the team despite the fact that he is not eligible for the clash.

The report adds that Aguado’s inclusion in the trip to France has come on the back of Carlo Ancelotti’s insistence.

It appears the Real Madrid manager wanted to see the young full-back in training, believing that he is one of many young players who are ready to help the team.

This could be a great boon for Aguado himself. The youngster, after all, has an excellent chance of making a breakthrough during the remainder of the campaign, given Real Madrid’s lack of options in the right-back position.

Indeed, Dani Carvajal is out with a long-term injury whereas Lucas Vazquez has struggled to offer optimal performances. This leaves Aguado with an excellent opportunity to prove his worth at the highest level of football.

That said, the youngster must proceed with patience, judging by the way Ancelotti has preferred experienced heads ahead of young talents.
