According to Het Nieuwsblad, Antwerp are looking at signing Daam Foulon during the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old KV Mechelen left-back is set to be out of contract in the summer and it is not surprising that he is being linked with one of the top six sides. However, it is also incredibly unlikely that the Great Old will be the only side looking to sign Foulon.
Since joining Antwerp on a free from Italian side Benevento last summer, Foulon has been one of the best attacking full-backs in the Pro League. Last season he was excellent in his 41 appearances, grabbing three goals and four assists. Despite an injury hit season this time around he has still managed three goals and three assists in just 22 games.
Should Foulon join Antwerp in the summer, he will be the third Mechelen player to make such a move this year. During the winter window goalkeeper Yannick Theolen joined the side, while former Antwerp fan favourite Geoffry Hairemans set to return at the end of this year. Hairemans helped Antwerp return to top flight football, playing 123 times and scoring 13 goals between 2015 and 2019. He has been with Mechelen since the 2019/2020 season.
