FC Barcelona lit up the streets of Catalunya with a jubilant open-bus parade, celebrating their La Liga title triumph in front of an estimated 670,000 ecstatic fans. Spirits were sky-high as Hansi Flick and his players soaked in the atmosphere, capping off what has been a dream campaign for the Blaugrana.
It has been a long time since the Blaugrana fans have experienced as much joy as they have this season. It is not just about winning trophies, but what stands out is how they have done it, playing an attacking brand of football.
The players were in full josh on the streets last night, and Barca One, as quoted by SPORT, took the opportunity to interview a few of them to get their takes. Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, and Robert Lewandowski had things to share.
Araujo, one of the captains at Barcelona, revealed that he was very happy with what the team had done this season and offered hope for the Champions League to return to Catalunya sooner rather than later. He said:
“We’re very happy. We’ve worked hard this season, we’ve worked very hard. At the beginning of the season, no one gave us any credit, and now we’re league champions. The club has changed significantly. We have a very good staff, and La Masia is incredible. We’re very happy for the culers. We’re missing that Champions League, which is what they deserve, but it’s coming. Have faith.”
The Uruguayan, despite experiencing some hardships on a personal front, could not have put his emotions into words better than he did. Irrespective of his form on the pitch, his leadership has never been in question.

Andreas Christensen, who missed a major chunk of the season through injury but returned at a very good level during the most important phase of the campaign, also shared his thoughts on the La Liga win. He said:
“Two league titles in three seasons is incredible. This time is better than the last time. We’re not tired; we’re hungry for more. We can feel that this is very important for the fans. As a player, there’s nothing better than being able to celebrate with them. I’m proud of the team; everyone gave their all.”
Christensen was one of the protagonists the last time Barcelona won La Liga. He might not have had the same kind of prominence this season, but has shown in recent weeks that if fit, he still continues to be one of the most reliable players in this team.

Robert Lewandowski, who has been here and done this numerous times with Bayern Munich and once with Barcelona before, revealed that being, playing, and celebrating with this young squad was making him feel like a teenager again. He said:
“It’s incredible what we’ve done, how we’ve played. A lot of people have fallen in love with how we’ve played. I’m really grateful for it and I’m really enjoying it. Playing with such young players makes me feel like a teenager, too.”
Hansi Flick and his squad have given their heart and soul to win every possible trophy this season. They may have missed out on the Champions League this time around, but if they continue on a similar note, it is bound to happen sooner rather than later.
With a summer break ahead and a clear project in place, the players will return rested and ready to push for even more in 2025/26. If this season was the revival, the next could well be the coronation.
