Arsenal have confirmed that 19-year-old goalkeeper Alexei Rojas has received a call-up from Colombia for the upcoming CONMEBOL Sub-20 tournament, also known as the South American u20 Championship.
As well as the chance to win the tournament itself, Colombia will also be battling to qualify for the 2025 u20 World Cup, due to take place in September of next year.

The u20 Championship will begin with a group stage, with Colombia named in Group B alongside Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina, and Bolivia. The five teams in Group A are Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Peru.
The top-three finishers from both groups will progress to the final stage, which is another group stage of six teams. The top-four finishers will qualify for the World Cup, and the top team in the final stage group will also win the tournament.
Rojas has made four appearances for the Colombia u20s so far, and his recent experiences with the Arsenal first-team squad should put him in a good position to push on with his national team next month.
Often used as Arsenal’s third or fourth-choice senior goalkeeper, Rojas hasn’t had the chance to play any youth minutes this season, but it looks like he’ll get that opportunity internationally.

All times below are given in GMT, with all the matches to be played in host country Venezuela.
Should Colombia finish in the top three of Group B, they’ll then play their remaining fixtures on the following dates:
The times and opponents for those final stage matches will be determined by whether Colombia finish first, second, or third.
