The first leg will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, January 7, kicking off at 8pm.
The second leg is set for Wednesday, February 5, also at 8pm, at St. James’ Park.
Both matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Arsenal will be aiming to reach the final of a competition they’ve won twice before. Their first League Cup victory came in 1987 when George Graham’s side beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley, thanks to a brace from Charlie Nicholas.

Six years later, the Gunners lifted the trophy again in 1993, with Steve Morrow scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday, though the celebrations famously left him with a broken arm.
Since then, Arsenal have fallen short in finals, most recently in 2018, when they were beaten by Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s side will hope to end that long wait for another League Cup triumph this season.
With Newcastle providing tough opposition, Arsenal will look to make home advantage count in the first leg, setting up what promises to be an intense battle in the return fixture at St. James’ Park.

Gabriel Jesus has been shortlisted for the Carabao Cup Player of the Round award following his sensational second-half hat-trick in Arsenal’s thrilling 3-2 quarter-final victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
His clinical performance was instrumental in turning the game around and securing Arsenal’s place in the semi-finals.
Jesus faces competition for the award from Dominic Solanke of Tottenham Hotspur, Harvey Elliott of Liverpool, and Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United, each recognised for their displays in their respective quarter-final fixtures.
