Arsenal seek redemption at Forest after West Ham defeat

Arsenal’s visit to Nottingham Forest tonight comes at a defining moment in their season.
With hopes of a Premier League title looking increasingly bleak, the test at the City Ground is about more than just three points.
It is about resilience, character and whether Mikel Arteta’s side can still push forward despite the growing challenges they face.
Last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to West Ham United was a tough one to take. Arsenal dominated possession but lacked the cutting edge to make it count.
They were caught out at a crucial moment defensively, and the absence of a recognised striker was evident at the other end. For all the control they had, they could not find a way through.
Liverpool’s win over Manchester City the following day widened the gap at the top. Arsenal now sit 11 points behind the leaders, and the margin for error has disappeared.
Arteta acknowledged the frustration but remained defiant that his team can still overhaul Liverpool at the top of the table.
“There are so many games to play, and we have the levels, the consistency, and the hunger to go again,” he said. “That is what we are going to do on Wednesday.”
That sense of determination will be tested by a Forest side that has been formidable at home.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have turned the City Ground into a fortress, going unbeaten in their last seven home league games and winning six of them.
The good news for Arsenal is that their away form has been solid. They are unbeaten in eight Premier League matches on the road, winning four of the last five.
However, they will have to navigate this contest without Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, with both players still working their way back to full fitness.
If Arsenal are to keep their title ambitions alive, they must string together a winning run, starting tonight.
