Paris Saint-Germain are exploring various options to strengthen their attack for the second half of the 2024-25 season, and Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán has now emerged as a potential target.
According to a recent update from CaughtOffside, PSG are still undecided about whether to meet Villa’s £60 million asking price for Durán, as they continue to evaluate his potential.
The report also reveals that several top clubs, including Barcelona, Napoli, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, have shown interest and inquired about the terms of a possible deal.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that PSG remain keen on the forward, though negotiations could be challenging due to Villa’s £80 million asking price. This high valuation is partly due to Durán’s strong form and his recent contract extension, with Villa only willing to sell if they receive an exceptional offer.
Moreover, PSG believe Durán’s value is around £25 million lower than Villa’s asking price.

Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that PSG are continuing negotiations with Durán, although the discussions are progressing slowly. Aston Villa are asking for over €70 million for the player, making the talks somewhat complex.
However, despite the challenges, the negotiations are still ongoing. Regardless of how the situation unfolds, Durán remains a priority for PSG during the summer transfer window.
Foot Mercato recently reported that PSG have already been in talks with the representatives of the 21-year-old striker. The club are reportedly eager to make a strong move, with Durán showing interest in their sporting project.
That said, the same report mentions that Aston Villa have no plans to let the player leave during this winter transfer window.
