Paris Saint-Germain are considering several options to strengthen their attack for the second half of the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán emerging as a potential target.
A recent update from CaughtOffside reveals that PSG are still uncertain about meeting Villa’s £60 million asking price for the forward, as they continue to evaluate his potential.
The report also notes that Barcelona, Napoli, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich have shown interest and inquired about the terms of a potential deal.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed PSG’s ongoing interest in Durán, although negotiations could be challenging due to Villa’s £80 million valuation. This high price tag reflects Durán’s strong form and his recent contract extension, with Villa only open to selling for a substantial offer.
PSG are reportedly exploring the possibility of including Randal Kolo Muani or Marco Asensio in the deal, as they believe Durán’s value is around £25 million lower than Villa’s asking price.

Despite PSG’s interest in Durán, TBR Football reported on Monday, citing sources, that West Ham United made a bid for the Colombian forward. The Hammers are eager to strengthen their attack this month, leading them to submit an offer for Durán last week.
However, Aston Villa rejected West Ham’s bid, which was significantly lower than the amount needed to secure Durán’s transfer. The report also mentions that while a new offer was made, it was still “miles away” from Villa’s valuation.
For Villa to consider letting the 21-year-old leave this month, they would require a deal worth over £60 million. Foot Mercato reported on Monday that PSG have already held talks with Durán’s representatives in recent days and are planning a strong move, as the player is reportedly interested in joining the French club.
However, Villa have no intention of letting him go during this winter transfer window.
