A trio of La Liga clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation of Norwich City star Borja Sainz, with a view to a future transfer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Radio Popular de Bilbao, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the mounting interest in Sainz’s signature.

For those not familiar with his name, Sainz is a 23-year-old attacker, who generally operates on the left wing.

The Spaniard has spent the early months of the new season making a name for himself as one of the standout performers in the English Championship, boasting a head-turning record of 12 goals and two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.

And such stellar exploits have already begun to pique interests back in Sainz’s home country…

As per MD, all of Atlético Madrid, Athletic Club and Villarreal are closely tracking the development of the former Deportivo Alavés talent in England.

This comes with a view to a potential future offer for his services.

It is also noted that Sainz himself would favour a move to Diego Simeone’s Atlético over any other destination.
