Barcelona are through to the Copa del Rey final after beating Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate. Ferran Torres justified Hansi Flick’s decision to start him ahead of leading scorer Robert Lewandowski by scoring the only goal on the night at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium to set up an El Clasico showdown with Real Madrid in Seville later this month.

As for Atletico, the competition had become their last realistic chance to claim silverware this season having suffered an agonising Champions League exit on penalties at the hands of Los Blancos and falling off the pace in the LaLiga title race within the last three weeks. Therefore, their focus for the remainder of the campaign is to finish as strongly as possible and hope for the best.
