Moreover, his name has come up in the internal discussions within Barcelona consistently as per the journalist. He is seen as a valuable option, both because of his experience in La Liga as well as the fact that he would likely not be an expensive option to pursue.

Furthermore, Moretto has reported that further contacts between the player’s entourage and Barcelona are expected in the coming weeks. This would allow La Blaugrana to properly assess the feasibility of the operation and just how easy it would be to get such a deal over the line.

For now, Ratiu has a contract with Rayo Vallecano until 2028. There is no urgency to part ways with him, but when a club like Barcelona comes calling, there is no doubt that players are almost always eager to try their luck.

However, he is not the only option that is being linked to Barcelona right now when it comes to full-backs. Monaco right-back Vanderson, for instance, is also being considered a key target for Barcelona and the club’s Director Deco.
