After doing it to Real Madrid on two separate occasions, it seems that Hansi Flick’s team desperately wanted to ensure that January ends on a good note. As such, Barcelona completely annihilated Valencia in their recent 7-1 thrashing at the Montjuic Stadium.

However, beyond just the three points and boost to the team’s goal difference, there is also another key development for Barcelona. As highlighted by Barca Times, Hansi Flick’s side has managed to reach a milestone this season that the club has only accomplished on four occasions across their history.

That milestone is one that sees Barcelona having scored 101 goals this season already in just 32 games. This results in an average of around three goals or so per game, and it just goes on to show how aggressive and offensive Hansi Flick’s side truly is.

Previously, the three occasions that also saw the team reach such numbers in the first 32 games are the 1942/1943 season (106 goals), the 1958/1959 season (103 goals), and the 2011/2012 season (in which Barcelona managed to score 102 goals). Thus, this is only the second time in the 21st century that a Barcelona team has managed this feat.

While Hansi Flick’s team may not be where they wish to be in La Liga right now, they have shown time and time again not to write them off. Unfortunate results in the league have let the team down, but it seems like each and every player is more than determined to make a comeback possible.
