In a matter of months, Marc Casado has gone from a player in the lower division to a bonafide starter for Barcelona and his great run of form even earned him a spot in the Spanish national team in the ongoing international break.
Earlier this week, he made his debut for La Roja, coming on in the 70th minute and helping the team see out a 2-1 win over Denmark. He is again expected to see minutes in the team’s game against Switzerland on Monday.
Speaking to Partidazo COPE via Fabrizio Romano in a recent interview, the young Barcelona academy graduate was asked about his most special moment as a footballer so far in his short career.

“The day we beat Real Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu has been the best day of my life on a football pitch so far,” he said, without batting an eyelid.
Casado then went on to reveal how much it meant to his family that he not only participated in the biggest game in world football but also came out on the winning side.
“My family told me: we’ve been crying during the whole game.”
Finally, the player clarified his love for the club, saying, “I’m not anti-Madridista. I’m Cule, I’m a big Barça fan.”
Casado will next be seen in action for Barcelona against Celta Vigo next week. While he is a guaranteed starter in the double pivot, it remains to be seen who Hansi Flick pairs him up with given the goldmine of resources at his disposal.
