Barcelona star Ansu Fati is inching towards an imminent move to France, with AS Monaco.

That’s according to Cadena SER, who point towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

Fresh off another challenging campaign in his home country of Spain, giving rise to just three starts across all competitions, it has long been assumed that wide-man Ansu would be on the move once more this summer.

The 22-year-old has never managed to earn the trust of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, with the stiff competition for places in the Blaugrana’s frontline making as much unlikely next season, either.

Interest in Ansu’s services, in turn, has begun to mount ahead of the transfer market being kicked into gear once more.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word doing the rounds in Spain late this week is anything to go by, then a clear frontrunner appears to have emerged in the race for the attacker.

As per SER, on the programme ‘Què t’hi jugues’, Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are closing on a deal for Ansu.

In fact, they go as far as to state that the Spanish international’s move to the Stade Louis II is ‘almost 100% certain’ this summer.
