A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could well take to the pitch for the final time in the club’s colours this weekend.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Pablo Torre as the player in question.

Youngster Torre has for his part endured something of a frustrating campaign in Catalunya’s capital to date.

After returning to base with Barcelona following a season on loan with Girona, the 22-year-old has struggled to carve out a regular place for himself in the engine room setup of boss Hansi Flick.

Amid fierce competition for places, Torre has been afforded just 14 appearances across all competitions.

And yet, when handed the chance to impress, the Spaniard has done so, boasting more direct goal contributions (7) than starts (5).

Owing to as much, Torre is not short on suitors, ahead of a departure from Barcelona which looks increasingly likely to come to fruition this summer.

With Hansi Flick expected to rotate his XI for Barca’s final outing of the campaign against Athletic Club this weekend, Torre, in turn, could well feature in the colours of the Blaugrana for the very last time.
