Eric Garcia’s future has been a subject of intense speculation in recent days, with Barcelona needing to make a sale in order to sign new players before the winter transfer window closes.
The Catalans want to bring in Marcus Rashford from Manchester United and with Ansu Fati unwilling to leave, were said to be looking at Garcia as a possible candidate to be sold.
Girona and Como have shown a strong interest in the versatile star, who scored a crucial goal against Benfica earlier this week.
Despite the speculations, however, it appears that Eric Garcia will not be leaving Barcelona in the current transfer window.
Indeed, just a little while ago, we reported that Barcelona had made it clear that the 24-year-old Spanish international would stay at the club.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the same, stating that Eric has decided to continue with the Blaugrana after holding fresh talks with manager Hansi Flick.

The Italian journalist claims that Serie A side Como were very close to reaching an agreement to sign the centre-back earlier this week.
However, the situation has changed now and Garcia wants to continue at Barcelona after he spoke with manager Flick.
The former Manchester City starlet has found regular game-time hard to come by given the intense competition for places in the team, especially in the centre-back department.
Flick has also utilised Garcia as a midfielder at times this season but with everyone fit and available, the Barça head coach has too many options in the centre of the park as well.
Despite the situation, it appears that the Spaniard will continue at Barcelona, at least until the end of the season.
