Barcelona star praises Man United’s Antony after Real Betis clash | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí has moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Real Betis star Antony.

This of course comes after the La Liga meeting between the two sides on Saturday night.

Barcelona played host to Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis yesterday evening, aware that a victory would have seen them open up a six-point advantage atop the Spanish top-flight.

When all was said and done, however, the Blaugrana were forced to make do with a share of the spoils, owing to a 1-1 stalemate.

The aforementioned Antony for his part featured from the off for the visitors in Catalunya’s capital, enjoying another solid display on the right wing.

And one individual who was evidently left impressed by the efforts put forth by the on-loan Manchester United man is Pau Cubarsí.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle on Saturday, defender Cubarsí assured:

“Antony is a great player, so we had a tough job.”
