Barcelona star tipped for rare start vs Barbastro | OneFootball

A somewhat forgotten member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has been tipped to return to the club’s starting XI this weekend.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

Wide-man Ansu, for his part, is fresh off a busy festive break.

This comes with the Spanish international, amid ongoing efforts to rediscover his brilliant best form, having continued to make use of Barcelona’s facilities for individual training whilst the rest of his teammates spent time at home.

And such efforts on Ansu’s part could well be rewarded on Saturday evening.

As per a report from Sport, Hansi Flick is giving serious consideration to handing his out-of-favour winger what would be just a 2nd start of the campaign tomorrow.

Barca are set to face off with 2nd division Barbastro in the Copa del Rey, with a place in the competition’s Last-16 on the line.

And Ansu could well join the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Héctor Fort in what is expected to be a heavily-rotated Blaugrana XI at the Estadio Municipal.
