Barcelona winger Raphinha leads Europe in key passing stat | OneFootball

Barcelona’s attack has been a well-oiled machine so far this season. The Catalan club has scored more goals than any other team this season (52) and has looked a threat every time they go forward.

Whilst names like Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal often capture the headlines when it comes to the attacking prowess of the Blaugrana, another star has flown under the radar and finds himself among Europe’s elite in passing stats.

As per WhoScored, Raphinha is currently leading Europe’s top five leagues in terms of key passes made, with a total of 67.

The 28-year-old finds himself among great company, with the likes of Cole Palmer, Dejan Kulusevski and Álex Baena also on the list.

Outside of passing accolades, the Brazilian is also contributing to a fair amount of goals himself, as he is Barça’s second-highest goalscorer with 11 and also the club’s second-highest contributor of assists with six.

This season has really been Raphinha’s breakout campaign at Barcelona, having already surpassed his goal tally for the last two seasons combined.

If Barcelona are to mount a title challenge and chase Real Madrid and Atético for the top spot, they will be relying on Raphinha to continue his fine form.
