FC Barcelona have completed several renewals in the last one and a half months, with important players like Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, and Pau Cubarsi extending their association with the Catalan club for a significant period of time.

Meanwhile, the Sporting Director Deco is planning for another round of renewals, with some other important parts of this team being a priority. One of these players whose contract is being addressed as a priority by the Blaugranes is the teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.

The 17-year-old winger appeared in an interview with Mundo Deportivo recently and addressed the subject of his renewal. The Spaniard was clear that there are no doubts about his love and commitment to Barcelona:

“I think no one doubts what I am as a Barça fan, how much I love this club. Since my debut, I have said it, and I believe it will be resolved in the end. If both parties want something to happen, it will happen. But I think no one can doubt what I feel for this club.”

When asked if the agreement with the club to extend his contract for several more years once he turned 18 was still valid, Yamal did not give a clear answer but gave hints on when he could sign his next renewal:

“The truth is, I’m not getting involved in that. There’s still a long way to go until we finish this season first. In the end, in July, when the next year begins, it will be resolved and everyone will see it. But for now, as we’ve said, I’m focused on La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey, which are the most important things.”

While no doubt he is one of the most important players in this Barcelona squad, it would be a good idea to address his renewal at the end of the season so he can remain fully concentrated on his football and help his team win some trophies this season.
