The winter transfer window has closed, and one player Paris Saint-Germain had their eye on but didn’t land is Christopher Nkunku.
Since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig for £52 million in 2023, Nkunku has struggled to secure a regular starting role, sparking speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Journalist Ben Jacobs previously reported that PSG had given serious thought to bringing him back to Ligue 1, though no official offer was made.
As for Bayern Munich, they decided against pursuing Nkunku this winter, but according to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, the German club could revisit their interest in the summer.

Nkunku was heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea during the January transfer window, but the Frenchman ultimately remained at Stamford Bridge.
Bayern Munich and Manchester United showed strong interest in signing him, but Chelsea were unwilling to let him go unless a club met their €75 million valuation, per Fichajes.
With Bayern Munich stepping back from the race—at least for now—Manchester United had an opportunity to sign the player but didn’t make a move.
So when ESPN released its winners and losers of the winter transfer window, the network wasn’t generous to the Frenchman. Nkunku was listed among the “losers” alongside Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
