Anderlecht have been ravaged by injuries so far this season. On Friday they may well finally see a key player return. Thorgan Hazard has not played a game this season but looks set to be part of the squad for the clash with Dender. As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, the former Borussia Dortmund man is hoping to be able to feature for at least the final 15 minutes. Coach David Hubert is not convinced yet, but if the side are struggling he may well turn to Hazard in a hope that the players quality can make a difference.
31-year-old Hazard joined Anderlecht in the summer of 2023, going on to make 24 appearances. He scored four goals and grabbed four assists before an injury ruled him out for months. During his time in Germany Hazard spent years with Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach. At the latter he played 182 games, scoring 46 goals. He left to join Dortmund in the summer of 2019, going on to play 123 games with 18 goals scored.
