Brighton are ‘pushing ahead’ for highly-rated Nurnberg attacker Stefanos Tzimas, who is also a target for Liverpool, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Reds are flying under their Arne Slot despite the Dutchman being allowed to bring in only Federico Chiesa through the door in the summer.
They are pushing to win the Premier League and have been flawless in the Champions League so far.
The Reds hierarchy, though, have not changed their approach to this transfer window as they will not rush to make any signings this month.
Liverpool have some players they want to sign in the summer, and Nurnberg’s 19-year-old Tzimas is a player they are keen on.
The Greek forward has a host of suitors around Europe and it has been suggested that Premier League side Brighton are pushing to sign him now.
The Seagulls are reportedly trying to seal a £20m deal for the top-rated forward, who is on loan from PAOK Salonika at Nurnberg.
It is unclear if Liverpool will now push to get involved this month given the real risk that Tzimas could join Brighton if they stand on the sidelines.
