Bukayo Saka says he's in no rush to extend his Arsenal contract but it's "pretty clear" what his long-term future holds.

The 23-year-old recently returned from three months out of action, scoring the winning goal in a narrow 2-1 win over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

Regarded as one of the best right wingers in the world, Saka's absence has been sorely felt by Arsenal as their Premier League title challenge has slowly fallen by the wayside – a third successive runners-up finish now looking likely for Mikel Arteta's charges barring a dramatic late collapse from Liverpool.

Arsenal's attempts to win silverware may have all but gone from a domestic point of view, yet they could still make the 2024/25 a campaign to remember if they're able to go all the way in the Champions League for the first time ever.

To do so, they must overcome 15-time winners Real Madrid in a two-legged quarter-final – a game Saka turned up for pre-match media duties for before being questioned on his future at Arsenal. Judging by his response, the England winger is completely comfortable with where he's at and has no plans to go anywhere.

"I want to win and I want to win wearing this badge, so I think it's pretty clear," Saka told reporters. "The fans know how much I love them and you saw when I came on [against Fulham], I think they love me back. It's a good relationship and I'm really happy to be here and focus on winning here.

"You had to be in the stadium to really feel and understand the noise and energy they brought for me. I want to win here and that's my focus now."

Saka's contract at Arsenal, believed to be worth around £300,000 per week, expires in the summer of 2027, with many players in a similar situation often being linked with potential suitors. That's not been the case for the Hale End academy graduate, who suggested that talks over extending his stay will happen when the time is right.

"I don't think anyone is really in a rush," he continued. "I have got two years left on my contract so it is pretty relaxed. Everyone knows my thoughts and I've let you guys know as well so I don't think there's any rush really."
