Cafu states he is ‘always available’ for Fondazione Milan: “A very big emotion” | OneFootball

Cafu is one of the most legendary players in football, and the Brazilian has offered himself forever to AC Milan’s charity, something he believes is vital.

With games like Sunday’s, it is always better to focus on the reason for the charity game, and this is without considering the scoreline. This motive was very much held by Cafu too, who has regularly played a part for the Fondazione Milan.

The Brazilian is tied to the Rossoneri through history, being one of the best defenders in the history of the game, but he has continued to staple his legacy into the colours of the Diavolo with the continued support of the club itself and the charities attached to it.

Speaking to Milan TV, via Milan News, after the game, the right-back detailed his feelings on playing for the Rossoneri again, and why the charity games are so important.

“It’s always nice to be here, always nice to see how much the English fans love football and us former players. We try to return the affection with a signature or a photo: it’s always very nice to see Milan again and to be with Milan, a very big emotion.

“The fans love both Milan and Brazilian football: today we are here to receive this affection, this warmth and this embrace from the wonderful public. I enjoy myself even at 54, I like football, having fun, being together with the boys.

“The result is not always what you expect but the important thing is always to have fun.”

“We are here for the Milan Foundation, we know the work they do for the benefit of people who haven’t had the same opportunity as we have. Whenever Milan call me for the Foundation, I’m always available to help people.”

With it being the international break, there has been a larger light shone on the Fondazione, as shown in midweek with Milan inviting a group to attend training.
