Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi in Rennes to undergo medical | OneFootball

Celtic FC striker Kyogo Furuhashi (30) has landed in Rennes to undergo a medical with Jorge Sampaoli’s Ligue 1 side, according to Foot Mercato. The 30-year-old Japan international is expected to put pen to paper over a three-and-a-half-year deal with Les Rouge et Noir, tying him to Rennes until 2028. Rennes head coach Jorge Sampaoli confirmed in today’s presser that he expected Furuhashi to be eligible for Les Rouge et Noir‘s away Ligue 1 game to AS Monaco on Saturday. “We are hoping that the deal is completed today for Kyogo and if that is the case, he could have minutes against Monaco. He is a player that we really wanted and who can bring us depth,” said the former Argentina national team manager.
