Celtic face Aberdeen this evening in the Scottish Premiership. The visitors from Pittodrie are the only domestic side to have taken something from Celtic Park this season after the 2-2 draw earlier in the campaign. However, since then, Celtic thrashed Aberdeen at Hampden and then beat them 1-0 in Aberdeen.
This evening, Celtic will look to bounce back from a rare domestic defeat by putting the Dons to the sword. Brendan made three changes at half time in Leith and it is expected that he will continue those changes into the team for tonight’s game.
Kasper Schmeichel will start in goals. In defence, expect the manager to go with Auston Trusty and Cameron Carter-Vickers as the central pairing with Alistair Johnston and Jefferey Schlupp in the full back berths.
In midfield, Callum McGregor will start alongside Reo Hatate and Arne Engels. Luke McCowan will have been disappointed by his showing at Easter Road, a rare misstep since joining the club. The ex-Dundee and Ayr United talent will be eager to seize his opportunity from the bench if called upon.
In attack, expect Daizen Maeda to start through the middle with Nicolas Kühn and Jota on the wings. The trio looked threatening in Munich and it appears that the manager fancies them. Adam Idah might feel hard done by if the manager does go with this three but it’ll give him extra motivation from the bench to come on and impact the game.
