Change at Eintracht Frankfurt as Ritsu Doan targeted | OneFootball

Ritsu Doan (26) has been a focal point in Freiburg’s attack this season, with the Japan international enjoying his best campaign in top-flight football. With the arrival of Yuito Suzuki from Danish club Brøndby IF and French attacker Cyriaque Irié, it’s increasingly likely that SCF are preparing for the departure of Doan.

It comes after kicker report that Niels Nkounkou, Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe and Mahmoud Dahoud have no future at Eintracht, as the club prepare for Champions League football next season following their fourth-place finish.

The Hessen club have already made contact with the entourage of Doan but are yet to make an official offer with Freiburg wanting close to €25m for the Japan international, who has scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances for Freiburg this season.

But Eintracht Frankfurt will face competition from fellow Champions League participants Borussia Dortmund to sign Doan. With the latter’s European qualification, they can now attack the transfer market knowing their financial situation will be significantly stronger after finishing in the final Champions League spot.
