Chris Sutton predicts score of West Ham clash v Brentford | OneFootball

West Ham United will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have made a stuttering start under Graham Potter. They have picked up only one win in their last seven games in all competitions and won only once in their last six Premier League games.

West Ham are heading into this game on the back of a 2-1 defeat against Chelsea, and they need to get back to winning ways.

The Hammers are 16th in the Premier League table, and while they are not in danger of getting relegated, the league position does not do justice to the squad they have.

West Ham will welcome Jarrad Bowen back into the side, and he could make a big difference.

Chris Sutton thinks the Hammers will narrowly edge their rivals and pick up a 2-1 win. Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are a threat to any side, but the BBC pundit thinks West Ham have enough quality to pick up all three points.

Sutton said to BBC Sport: “New Hammers boss Graham Potter has taken over a difficult situation and he is finding it hard to get results – he has only won one of his five games in charge so far.

“Their struggles are not on him though, and it would definitely boost their chances if he has Jarrod Bowen back from injury soon – he has been training this week.

“Bowen scored a hat-trick when West Ham beat Brentford 4-2 in February last year. There won’t be as many goals this time, but I am going for the same outcome.”

Brentford have picked up only two wins in their last 11 games, and they have been poor away from home this season. This presents a good opportunity for West Ham to pick up all three points.
