Liverpool have yet to submit a bid for Manchester City target and Lazio star Nicolo Rovella in the ongoing transfer window.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder joined Lazio on a two-year loan spell from Juventus in 2023.
Rovella’s performances for Lazio have not gone unnoticed, as Premier League giants Manchester City and Liverpool are interested in signing him.
Manchester City are currently looking for a replacement for the injured Rodri and Rovella has been mooted to be a good fit.
Liverpool are also keen on signing the Italian midfielder after they failed to land Martin Zubimendi last summer and they are expected to send a bid to Lazio for the player.
However, according to Italian daily Il Messaggero (via Lazio News), Lazio have yet to receive any bid from Liverpool for Manchester City target Rovella.
The player has a €17m option in his loan deal and Lazio are expected to trigger it and they have set a price tag of €40m to part ways with him.
Manchester City have been active in the ongoing window and Liverpool will have to beat stiff competition from the Sky Blues to land Rovella.
