AC Milan made a summer attempt to sign Milan Skriniar from Paris Saint-Germain and now the defender has opened up to the idea of a January exit.

Calciomercato.com report that Skriniar could leave PSG in the winter as he has made just two appearances so far this season. Various Italian clubs tried in the summer, while the closest to the former Inter player were Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, now coached by Stefano Pioli.

The Slovakia international has just one appearance as a starter under Luis Enrique this season and one as a substitute, both in Ligue 1, for a total of 111 minutes played. He seems to be the fourth choice behind Marquinhos, Willian Pacho and Lucas Beraldo, which has forced reflections.

Directly from the Slovakian national team training camp, Skriniar expressed his disappointment with the current season and the situation at the Parisian club.

“Mentally I would say I’m fine. I’m not happy with this situation, but the only thing I can control is my work in training. I have to be ready when needed. I try to be in the best shape possible. I’m happy to be in Paris, but I’m sorry I don’t have more minutes available,” he stated.

Skriniar confirmed that Napoli were in for him, given Antonio Conte had him at Inter, while the report claims that Milan and Roma also tried as PSG sporting director Luis Campos hinted before.

Juventus and Napoli are expected to be the most interested in view of January, but Skriniar has a contract worth €9m net per season plus bonuses until 2028, meaning Italian clubs can only realistically try if part of his salary is paid by PSG.
