AC Milan are hopeful that Davide Bartesaghi will become one of the stars of the future, and they have reached an agreement over a renewal.
Calciomercato.it write how Bartesaghi is highly regarded at an international level as a young talent, both by insiders and former footballers, such as Bojan Krkic who spoke on ‘Què t’hi Jugues!’, a programme on Cadena Ser’.
The former Milan winger mentioned the name of the young Rossoneri full-back among the ideal reinforcements for Barcelona, stating: “I would sign him with my eyes closed.”
Barça aside, there are a number of top European clubs that are following the 19-year-old with great attention, such as Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen. In the Premier League, he is appreciated by Everton, though Milan do not intend to lose control of him now.
In fact, everything is done for the renewal of his contract until June 2030, with his current deal set to run out in 2026. His agent Nick Arcuri has already reached an agreement with the Rossoneri, now all that is needed is the signature.

This year Bartesaghi has only made three appearances with the senior side and has played 12 games with the first team in total, for a combined 188 minutes. He has played more with Milan Futuro, but the chaos they are enduring has not helped anyone’s form.
He perhaps deserved more consideration, also considering the poor performances from Theo Hernandez this season. However, in the future he could find more playing time, possibly even as the left centre-back in a three-man defence.
The links about the possible return of Massimiliano Allegri mean that a three at the back formation could come back. That, along with the new contract, would safeguard the future of the Italian talent.
