Conceicao plans to drop one of Milan’s fab four for Bologna | OneFootball

Tuesday’s reports claim that Sergio Conceicao is planning another change in personnel for Milan’s upcoming Serie A match against Bologna, which is likely to mean one of the ‘fab four’ of Rafael Leao, Joao Felix, Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez are likely to lose their place in the starting line-up.

It has been a week to forget for the Rossoneri, who were eliminated from the Champions League by Feyenoord last Tuesday, before going on to record a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Torino in Serie A over the weekend.

Conceicao named what was, on paper, his strongest attacking line-up for Torino, including all four of the aforementioned players, with Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus midfield in a midfield pairing behind them.

However, the coach is now likely to drop Leao for Milan’s upcoming game against Bologna on Thursday night according to reports on page 16 of Tuesday’s Gazzetta dello Sport.

The pink paper adds that Conceicao hopes to use Leao as a ‘super wildcard’ option from the substitutes’ bench.

It has not been confirmed who will replace the Portugal international on Milan’s left wing. There could potentially be a start for Riccardo Sottil for instance, or potentially a slight reshuffle that could see Joao Felix move out wide and Tijjani Reijnders play in a more advanced midfield role .
