Confirmed: Getafe youngster departs for Reims | OneFootball

An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Getafe has this week sealed a departure from the club.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards John Patrick as the player in question.

Patrick, for those not familiar with his name, is a 21-year-old central midfielder, who has been plying his trade on the books of Getafe since all the way back in 2018.

After first bursting onto the first-team picture at the Estadio Coliseum several years ago, the ex-Republic of Ireland youth international had since reemerged in Jose Bordalás’ squad this season.

All told, across the term to date, Patrick has racked up seven senior appearances.

And, across such outings, the Madrid-born talent evidently did enough to impress those behind the scenes at Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims.

This comes amid confirmation that Patrick has put pen to paper on terms with Reims, in a deal worth a fee in the region of €1 million.
