Juventus were dealt a big blow a few days ago when they discovered that Gleison Bremer will be out for months after a ligament injury, and Fikayo Tomori is reportedly on a list of players they could sign as cover.

The Brazilian centre-back sustained a cruciate ligament injury in his left knee last week in the early stages of their Champions League game against RB Leipzig, and he underwent surgery on it earlier in the week.

Several sources in Italy claim that the Brazilian will be forced to the sidelined for at least six months which is bad news for Thiago Motta, who had made him an important part of his plans and the anchor of a four-man back line.

According to what is being reported by Paolo Paganini of Rai Sport, the Juve management are looking at various options to come in during the January window and provide some cover so Bremer doesn’t have to rush his recovery.

In addition to Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal – who Motta helped develop while he was the head coach of Spezia – in the last few hours ‘there have been contacts with the agent of Tomori’ as per the journalist.

It certainly feels unlikely that Milan would consider letting another centre-back go to Juve given they might have some regrets about the loan of Pierre Kalulu.
