AC Milan were victorious against Real Madrid on Tuesday, an impressive feat in itself. However, the way the Rossoneri won has caused a report to suggest that Paulo Fonseca has found himself again.

Fonseca has undergone several cycles at Milan already, and he will probably experience several more in his time with the Diavolo. His opening games led to questions being asked about his position, but a victory against Inter halted those doubts.

This has been repeated, and with a loss to Napoli last week, questions were asked again. However, Fonseca once again managed to find a solution and Milan have been given another chance to restart.

Corriere della Sera (via Milan News) stated that the night in Madrid could be ‘the turning point’ of the Rossoneri’s season, and the squad showed its value, controlling the game rather than letting it control them.

After keeping on the accelerator against one of the best teams in the world, Fonseca and his side must continue to do so in Serie A this weekend. The Portuguese’s ‘tactics, self-control and peaceful Leao’ were key to beating Los Blancos, but its meaning could be lessened significantly without continuity.

Ultimately though, there are only so many times a restart is acceptable, so this has to be the last restart, and the beginning of the movement forward.
